Mark is a Partner in the Firm's Commercial Department. He joined the Firm in 1995 and became a Partner in 1998.
Mark's practice is primarily focused in the corporate commercial arena where he specializes in securities regulation, IPOs, mutual funds, mergers and acquisitions, financing, insurance and information technology. He regularly provides advice on a wide range of corporate, securities, banking, insurance and general commercial issues.
His clients range from small to multinational commercial undertakings whose business includes banking and finance, local and international insurance, oil and petrochemical services and computer software engineering.
Mark is regularly called upon by both Government and private sector stakeholders to advise and comment on regulatory legislation that impacts upon various sectors. He was a member of the Cabinet appointed committee which reviewed and oversaw the overhaul and replacement of the Companies Ordinance with the current Companies Act. He has also acted on behalf of industry groups in reviewing the Financial Institutions Act which regulates banks and in recent times has provided critical commentary on the proposed Insurance Bill.
Mark is the Chairman of the Elections and Boundaries Commission of Trinidad and Tobago established under the Constitution charged with the conduct of elections and the determination of electoral boundaries. He is also the Secretary of The United Way of Trinidad and Tobago Limited.
