Mandisa was admitted to practice in 2003 and began her legal career in the Firm's Litigation Department in that same year. She acted as instructing attorney and as advocate in various matters, including debt collection, mortgagee actions, insurance subrogation claims, securities regulation and enforcement proceedings such as bankruptcy.
Upon her return from securing a Masters Degree in Law (commercial designation) from Cambridge University in 2008, Mandisa joined the Firm's Corporate/Commercial Department and became a Partner in 2011. Mandisa now focuses on Banking and Finance and her primary clients are domestic and international financial institutions, lenders and other significant investors.
She regularly acts for borrowers and lenders in preparing documentation and advising on matters involving debt restructuring, new financings, syndicated loans, bond and equity financing and other associated regulatory issues arising from such transactions. She also advises on events of default, crystallization and enforcement, creditor priorities and on the regulations relating to the securities, financial and insurance industries.
Mandisa is able to combine her initial practical experience in litigation with the business knowledge obtained in her Masters Degree (which involved courses on International Commercial Litigation, the Law of International Disputes, Commercial Equity and International Banking and Financial Law) to provide her clients with well-rounded and insightful advice.
